Brian Tissot
Dr. Brian Tissot is a marine ecologist conducting basic and applied research on invertebrates and fishes in intertidal zones, kelp forests, coral reefs, and deep reef ecosystems. His work is focused on promoting sustainable use of the ocean through research which informs management and policy.
Research Projects
We are focused on the interface between biology, management, and policy through an examination of the ecology of marine fishes and invertebrates, human impacts, and the role of the community in managing marine resources.
Teaching Activities
I challenge students to think critically and creatively about the natural world and their role in it. I integrate research into my courses and students into my research.
